Explore magical national parks and reserves on this exciting Kenya safari. Your adventure begins in Nairobi where you’ll visit the Giraffe Center and meet elephant calves orphaned by poachers at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust orphanage.

Travel from Nairobi to Nyeri, your base for exploring Solio Game Reserve. Here embark on morning and afternoon game drives in this exclusive private game reserve that’s home to over 200 rhino and much more! Drive through the Kenyan highlands to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you have a chance to pink flamingo, white rhino, waterbuck, giraffe, and impala. Next, on to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous game area, where we’ll be on the lookout for lion, Cape buffalo, gazelle, and cheetah. Lastly, explore Amboseli National Park—known for its spectacular views of 19,341-ft Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot elephant, wildebeest, hippo and more. Day 1

ARRIVE IN NAIROBI, KENYA Welcome to Africa! Arrive this evening, check in to your hotel, and prepare for your safari adventure!

Day 2

NAIROBI Start your private sightseeing with a visit to the elephant orphanage at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, founded by Dame Daphne Sheldrick. Here, you will learn about elephant conservation and meet elephant calves, orphaned by poachers, before they are re-introduced to the wild. Next, visit the Karen Blixen Museum, dedicated to the author of Out of Africa. Lastly, stop at the Giraffe Center, a nonprofit organization focused on saving the Rothschild’s giraffe, where you will learn about this sub-species and can feed them.

Day 3

NAIROBI–NYERI. AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE IN SOLIO GAME RESERVE This morning, depart for Nyeri, your base for exploring Kenya’s Laikipia region. After lunch, set out on your first exhilarating game drive in nearby Solio Game Reserve, one of East Africa’s most successful private rhino breeding sanctuaries. Home to over 200 black and white rhino, it’s common to spot 50 at a time. Dinner tonight is at your lodge.

Day 4

NYERI. MORNING GAME DRIVE IN SOLIO Start your day with a morning game drive. Beyond magnificent rhino there is an abundance of other wildlife making for great game viewing. Spot lion, reticulated giraffe, eland, leopard, cheetah and much more. Return to your lodge for lunch prior to an afternoon at leisure.

Day 5

NYERI–NYAHURURU FALLS–LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK Leave Nyeri and journey through the beautiful Kenyan highlands, one of the most fertile agricultural areas in all of Africa, where farmers grow crops such as corn, wheat, coffee, and tea. Stop at Nyahururu Falls, also known as Thompson’s Falls, and then on to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch at your lodge, set out on an afternoon game drive.

Day 6

LAKE NAKURU Today, embark on morning and afternoon game drives. The park is home to a variety of animals including giraffe, impala, Cape buffalo, flamingo, and striped hyena. Between game drives relax at your lodge. Located on hillside it offers stunning views over the lake below.

Day 7

LAKE NAKURU–MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE This morning, depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous game area. After lunch at your lodge, set out in search of the “Big 5”—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo.

Day 8

MAASAI MARA Today, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the “Mara,” as it is called by locals. Part of the Serengeti ecosystem, the reserve boasts a strong permanent population of game. When the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra arrives the population enlarges by almost 2 million. This provides a great food source for predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena.

Day 9

MAASAI MARA–NAIROBI–AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK Today, board a plane for the quick flight to Nairobi. After a short break, drive to Amboseli National Park, best known for spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at some 19,341 feet. Embark on an afternoon game drive before settling in at your lodge.

Day 10

AMBOSELI Morning and afternoon game drives offer you a terrific opportunity to get close to the mighty elephant. You might also spot Cape buffalo, zebra, wild dog, and more. During the heat of the day, relax at your lodge.
